What's in the box
The UNI 60 delivery contents, the damage inspection you must complete before accepting the boiler, and the parts you need to buy separately.
A UNI delivery contains the boiler assembly, the controller, the fan, the ash pan, a step-up transformer and a 220 VAC relay — and you must inspect all of it before you sign. After the sale, the distributor will not accept claims for incompleteness or mechanical damage.

Why a transformer and a relay?
The controller and fan are 230 V devices. In North American installations the step-up transformer supplies them from a 120 V feed, and the 220 VAC relay block lets the 230 V pump outputs switch a 120 V circulator. Wiring for that is on the pump wiring page.
Inspect before you accept
Check the crate and the boiler body
Walk around the unit. Look for dents in the casing, damage to door faces, a bent flue collar, or a cracked controller housing. Photograph anything you find before unloading is complete.
Confirm it travelled upright
The boiler must be transported on the vehicle in the vertical position only. A unit that arrived on its side should be recorded on the delivery paperwork.
Count the loose items
Controller, fan, ash pan, transformer, relay. Missing items are far easier to resolve at delivery than a week later.
Check the doors and gaskets
Open each door. The sealing cord should be intact and seated. Door sealing cord is a consumable and is not covered by warranty, so a damaged cord found later becomes your cost.
Note damage on the delivery documents
Record any mechanical damage in writing at the time of delivery, and notify your distributor immediately.
Aesthetic vs functional damage
The distributor is not responsible for cosmetic damage during shipping. Mechanical damage that impairs the use of the boiler — a broken handle or controller, for example — will be repaired or replaced.
